Like many of our other collections, every ‘Designer Collection’ bag is dyed using vegetable-tanning processes, eliminating the use of chrome-tanning procedures and the harmful effects this has on the environment.Alongside being more sustainable, vegetable-tanning achieves a beautifully rich and multi-toned patina, reminiscent of traditional bespoke Italian leathers. This method of dyeing is also kinder to the leather itself, allowing it to age beautifully while remaining soft and supple, so you can enjoy your Pure Luxuries London purchase for years to come.
I think the ‘Britt’ handbag in ‘Italian Tan’ looks particularly stunning with the natural gradient from vegetable tanning - so much so, that I had to bag one for myself! With a versatile and timeless design, it is spacious enough to carry everything I need and the adjustable carry options mean it is comfortable to carry around all day long.

100% Natural and Untreated Cotton Linings
It isn’t just what’s on the outside that counts! With the ‘Designer Collection’, every bag is lined with 100% natural and untreated cotton. Cotton is renowned for being stronger and longer lasting than polyester linings, not to mention much more environmentally friendly.
The contrast between the natural, untreated cotton lining and the black leather on the ‘Adelina’ tote bag is contemporary, chic and versatile. With two interior slip pockets and a large central compartment, there is plenty of room for everything you need to get you through the day.

Zero Plastics with All-Metal Zips and Fittings
Our zero-plastics policy doesn’t end with 100% cotton linings, just like our other collections, each bag in the ‘Designer Collection’ is furnished with stunning gold-coloured metal zips and fittings. Not only is metal much more robust and secure than plastic, but once again, it is much better for the planet!
I particularly love the way the metal fittings stand out on the ‘Caterina’ cross body bag in Italian Tan.
